Rose and Vine Tattoo

Take a look at this beautiful tattoo. I am not a “rose” person but this one turned out so great. I have also added a picture of my husband’s aunt’s rose tattoo. Last night she the vine added like the first and they are not the same look so I will post that one as soon as I get a new picture of it as well as both of these ladies had the toe ring tattoos and I will post those as well. Enjoy!!

Barbwire Tattoo

My husband’s cousin, Jason, wanted a barbwire tattoo all the way around his arm. There was a bit of discussion as to whether he could handle the pain of it going around the back of the arm. He did awesome. Take a look at the finished look…..and this went all the way around the arm!!

Tribal Tattoo

My husband wanted a tribal tattoo and this is what he decided on. I think it turned out great.

My Toe Tattoo

Two of us wanted a toe ring tattoo. Well I have wanted one for sometime and a friend wanted one and I jumped in. Remembering the pain of the tattoo on the top of my foot I was skeptical but knew that it wouldn’t take long to do it and went ahead. I am so glad that I did. I like it!! This was last night and we had an eventful time to say the least, we won’t even touch that story, so I will have to get the photos of the other 2 that were stuck last night and add as soon as I get the pictures taken. We are all really happy with them. Oh, I did read a site that stated that they fade. You have 7 layers of skin and you have to pierce the top 4 layers for it to be permanent. Our tattoo artist’s wife has one on the top of her big toe that has been there for a very long time and looks great. No fading at all. And it didn’t hurt as bad as the one on the top of my foot but I wouldn’t advise going “around” the toe much. The closer you get to the knuckles and the inside it is tenderer but it took less than 5 minutes so it was worth it.

Nautical Tattoo's

I have been meaning to get caught up on our tattoos. We have a friend come over to our house and he is a tattoo artist. When someone wants a tattoo we give him a call and he, his wife, and their 6 month old little boy come over and we have a little get together, while Mike is doing tattoos of course. LOL

We have done things such as have a cookout, play games on the Wii, Playstation and DS’s and sometimes just sit around and talk. No matter what we are doing it is normally a fun time and seeing the expression of people getting their first tattoos and seeing the finished designs are always fun.

These are Zack’s nautical star tattoos. They turned out great!

(More post to come on getting them all caught up. Hope you come back and enjoy!)

My two Tattoo's

Back in August I posted about the tattoo on my left foot. After looking at the searches from Google and my blog I have noticed that the “Tattoo” post is the most commonly viewed. For that reason I have decided to do a follow up and post mine and my husbands tattoos as well.

I have 2 and would not tell anyone not to get one. However, think about what you are doing before you do it. I am 40 and waited until I was 40 to get one. I actually had a doctor ask why I waited that long and decided to get one. I have wanted a tattoo since I was a teen. If I had gotten a tattoo back then…well let’s just say that I would be trying everything to remove it. There is no telling what I would have had tattooed and where. My sister had a small dolphin on the inside of her left ankle when she was in her early 20’s. To this day I don’t believe that she has had the urge to get another one. I have a close cousin that has several. She originally decided on a small rose and paid a good price for it on her left calf. Sadly it is not a good tattoo, and it was done professionally. What can you say, take it off or re-do it. It isn’t that easy. She did go to another artist and have a UK Wildcat put on her back. It looks really good and she went from there. I think she has somewhere around 8 right now and has found out that across your spine is very painful. Around a bone is painful, especially the top of your foot. LOL Contemplate long and hard before placing something on your body that will be there forever. I have also heard that having someone’s name tattooed on you is a bad luck. According to Mike, our tattoo artist, almost all people who have someone’s name tattooed on them ends up separating, divorcing, or whatever the case may be. Think about that before having that name put wherever for the rest of your life.

Here is my right ankle, an icthus that I am proud of. Below is the lilly and frog, after healing, on the top of my left foot. I like it as well but wish sometimes that it had been a cross. I didn't think long before having it placed. See what I meant. LOL But I do like both of them and had them done by a very good artist.

Hubbies Tattoo's

My husband has this surfing lizard on his right calf. The verse is Psalm 28 verse 7 which reads: The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

This is on his left shoulder. It is a tribal tattoo that he found and liked. It turned out pretty good.
