The Boat

My husband went and retrieved our boat from the shop yesterday. It had not been looked at yet and would be about another 3 weeks so he decided to take a look himself. While he looked and twisted this and that our daughter would help out. She came in and told me that they had found the problem in a little under a half hour. Wow. It is an old cable. That was simple enough. Now to get a new one and get it replaced. There are only 3 cables on the boat and they range from $40 to $400. Now sadly enough this could take awhile.

Have a good day!!

The boat experience

We took our family and my niece and nephew out on the boat. We had a blast.....well until after about 1.5 - 2 hours the boat made a funny noise and the propeller locked up. Ü Just our luck.

I called the marina and told them that we needed a tow. They were short handed and we saw the man going out in front of us on another tow. The gentleman suggested that we find another way in?? What?? I called the local RV and Boat sales, because they are really nice people that we deal with on a regular basis, to see if they had a boat out. They didn't but did give us hope that it was something simple that could be fixed. We sat for another 2 hours or more while the other tow was going on. When he passed us again we knew that it shouldn't be too long and made sure that they hadn't forgotten about us. They said that after he got in and fueled up he would be on out. After about 45 more minutes we called again, they were only around the bend from us. They said he would start out in about 15 more minutes. My niece is having a fit because she is bored. Okay, how do you entertain on a boat? We hadn't taken the fishing equipment and this was not planned. My kids were being great by the way. After telling her to jump several times she finally got mad enough to quit. (She did have a life jacket on.) LOL
When the pontoon came to tie up to us so did a bunch of ducks. The kids loved it. They followed us for a little while and then went back to the beach. It was a beautiful day out and I had a good time.
God Bless you all and have a great day!!

Buying a Boat

This is our families new boat. It may not be new but it is new enough for us. While trying to find a boat that we could afford, not easily done if you want it to float, we ended up in Russells Point, Ohio at Spend-A-Day Marina. Let me just inform you all that this is a completely awesome hidden treasure in Ohio. There is 5,800 acres of water and it is so awesome. It is called Indian Lake and if you ever get the chance you should go. It is awesome!!!

Take care and God Bless!!
